Live Below The Line 2012
Help raise awareness of the 1.4bn
people living in poverty
Live Below The Line is challenging you to spend £1 a day on food and drink from 7-11th May.
It's not too late to get involved. Sign up at our Live Below the Line site. By taking the challenge in support of ChildHope, the sponsorship you raise will help some of the world’s most vulnerable children grow up free from hunger and poverty. This is a great opportunity to raise awareness of, and begin to understand, the daily struggles facing so many children and families in our world.
We're all excited about it at ChildHope - we even had a trial lunch in Development House as preparation, selling the sort of food participants will be eating for the week!
Help make real change out of £1 a day
This can be a personal challenge or your workplace, school or club can even compete against other groups to see who can raise the most. ChildHope will support you throughout the challenge with recipes, fundraising tips and news from our projects. Sign up today,

Can you help us support children out of poverty by joining Live Below the Line?
There’s not much you can do with £1. In fact, it is hard to even buy a sandwich or a coffee. However, 1.4 billion people around the world survive on this small amount every day. Poverty and hunger is a daily reality for the children ChildHope supports.

Your support can transform children's lives
The money you raise through sponsorship from friends, family and work colleagues will help us support children and their families out of poverty.
In Kenya children are regularly refused entry into school when parents cannot afford to pay for the firewood used to cook lunch for pupils. Thanks to our supporters, our local partner organisation was able to buy and install five new fuel-efficient ovens for four state run primary schools. The ovens have benefited over 8,000 pupils who now receive a daily lunch, while the schools are saving a combined 37,500 Kenyan Shillings per month on firewood.
Now there is less financial burden on parents and as a result many more children are attending school in Kenya.
