This series of case studies offers reflections on what ChildHope and partners have learned while working on particular projects. We explain what has been achieved and how, why progress was or was not made and for whom.

Post-conflict reconciliation — learning from girl-mothers in Makeni, Sierra Leone
This is based on interviews and focus group discussions held between ChildHope, staff within our partner organisation — Help a Needy Child International, 'girl-mothers', their parents, teachers and NGOs in Makeni, Sierra Leone during April 2006. HANC reconciled over 95% of these girls with their families within two years. How was this possible? Read more

Child victims of sexual abuse and exploitation - learning from girls in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
This is a brief report on action research carried out by a Dhaka-based NGO, Aparajeyo, between 2002-05. This report that ChildHope collaborated on was commissioned by the Consortium for Street Children and aims to promote a better understanding of the lives of street children and encourage policy-makers, activists, community leaders and service providers to take action to prevent violence against children living and working on the streets. CR Climate Report

A Study of the Child Rights Climate within the UK’s Department forInternational Development
This report was commissioned by DFID, UNICEF, ChildHope and other NGOs to look into the 'child rights climate' within DFID. The main aims were to assess the perceptions and approaches towards child rights used by DFID and recommend ways in which it can better promote, protect and fulfil the rights of children. This document is a summary of compilation of the reports, documents and analysis of the two project teams – social services team and legal aid team on the CCL project work, during the past 2 years.
