The support we receive from Trusts and Foundations is extremely important in allowing us to continue our work.
We receive funding from trusts for both specifc areas of our work and our general fund. The Jersey Overseas Aid Commission for example, is a long-term supporter of our work. We also received funding from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation towards core costs in 2006, 2007 and 2008. In addition, we receive generous contributions from a wide range of trusts for our general fund which allows us to be much more flexible in our work and responsive to changing needs as they arise.
“I was impressed by the quality of the projects and their management, and I am pleased we are able to support such work.” (Private Trust)

Examples:
- £500 will pay for computer training so that a child rescued from sex work is able to get a job and be respected by his/her own family
- £2,500 could teach 80 of them to adopt safe sex behaviour
- In Sierra Leone, a country torn apart by years of civil war, it takes £5,000 to send 125 children to school
