Trusts and Foundations

£500 will pay for computer training so that a child rescued from sex work is able to get a job and be respected by his/her own family.

In Thailand, less than 50% of teenagers use condoms, resulting in tens of thousands of deaths each year.

£2,500 could teach 80 of them to adopt safe sex behaviour.

In Sierra Leone, a country torn apart by years of civil war, it takes £5,000 to send 125 children to school.

The support we receive from Trusts and Foundations is extremely important in allowing us to continue our work.

We receive funding from trusts for both specifc areas of our work and our general fund. The Jersey Overseas Aid Commission for example, is a long-term supporter of our work. We also received funding from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation towards core costs in 2006 and 2007. In addition, we receive generous contributions from a wide range of trusts for our general fund which allows us to be much more flexible in our work and responsive to changing needs as they arise.

If you are a trustee or have links with a trust or foundation or funding body and would like to make a real difference to vulnerable children around the world, pleade contact our Head of Fundraising, Julie anne Smith.

“I was impressed by the quality of the projects and their management, and I am pleased we are able to support such work.” (Private Trust)
