Child Protection & Child Rights Seminar
Child Protection and Case Management Tuesday 13th February 2018 Presenter Seminar 6 will be delivered by Sally Proudlove. Sally is the Safeguarding Lead for the UK National Committee for UNICEF. Sally has over 20 years’ experience of working in child protection and safeguarding including 5 years in international contexts, with time spent in both statutory and non-governmental organisations. Most recently she worked in a UK based child protection charity supporting national organisations to develop robust safeguarding policies, procedures and practices. UNICEF: The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund is the world's leading organisation working for children in danger.
12.30 – 13.30 Seminar
We will explore principles and practices of case management with children and families in International Development. This seminar will explore key principles for case management when working with children and families, ensuring we do no harm. Sally will present on the processes and the steps of case management; from case identification and registration to case closure, highlighting best practices. This seminar will use UNICEF’s journey as a case study and encourage participants to explore their organisation’s practice.

14.00 – 15.00 Facilitated Discussion Using case studies Sally will encourage participants to identify:
• How to apply case management principles and practices to provide the best outcomes for beneficiaries in their organisations
• Identifying the challenges and solutions within case management in low resource settings
