Flyer for Sound:check 26 JulOn 26th July 2013, Sound:check put on their second music event in aid of ChildHope! After the first event, we knew that it would be fantastic night of live music. ChildHope supporters Marie-Claire and Stac make-up this formidable duo. They have great vision for their events and definitely have their finger on the pulse when it comes to talented musicians. For more information about Sound:Check and videos from their previous events go to www.soundcheckchannel.com.

We'd like to thank all the artists, production team, volunteers and of course Marie-Claire and Stac for their amazing support. We are looking forward to the next one...!

Find out more about the various artists who played at last week's gig:

Fiona Bevan
Fiona Bevan's credentials are vast! She's been on the telly, she co-wrote a song that reached the number one spot in the UK Charts, plus she has a voice like an angel and writes amazing songs. One of Fiona's more recent performances moved the Guardian to say that she "took us on startling odysseys that suggested Erykah Badu, Joanna Newsom and Kate Bush spine-tinglingly joined."
Bridgette Amofah
Bridgette Amofah's has started her solo career after spending the last couple of years on tour with Oi Va Voi and Brian Ferry. Bridgette's music can be considered as alternative soul with a rock twist.

Jono McCleery
London-based solo artist Jono McCleery made his first album Darkest Light independently in 2008, funded only by fans. His next release There Is, following his signing to Ninja Tune, was described as "Miles Davis, Massive Attack, John Martyn, Fink, and Radiohead wrapped up in one exquisitely produced album." His new single Fire in my Hands, is a collaboration with Royce Wood Junior, has already received worldwide recognition as a cult hit.
The Night VI
The Night VI formed three years ago at the French Lycée in London. They are an Anglo-French six-piece whose male/female dynamic is at the heart of their emotional, seductive music. They are celebrating the launch of their Still Thinking of You EP on 14 August at the Lexington on Pentonville Road, King's Cross. Tickets are £7 in advance and doors open at 8pm.
