Recruiting Trustees for ChildHope

ChildHope is a London-based non-government organisation that works with the hardest to reach children – street children, disabled children, girls subject to early marriage and children who are trafficked – so that they can build self-reliance and confidence. We work through partners in Africa and Asia.

ChildHope’s Board is seeking to appoint new trustees with particular expertise and knowledge in:

  • International non-governmental organisations working in partnership with national non-governmental organisations in Africa, Asia and/or South America
  • Disability awareness, particularly related to disabilities in an international development context and the willingness to engage in the identification of appropriate interventions to support children and young people to be fully inclusive
  • Fundraising, especially marketing, communications, public relations and social media
  • Legal expertise in the charitable or commercial sector

Time commitment:

  • Four quarterly Board meetings
  • One Annual Away day meeting
  • Two Sub-Committee meetings
  • Other ad hoc events and meetings to represent ChildHope

Please download the person specification here and you can learn more about ChildHope's history here.
