The realities of life in Tanzania

The largest country in East Africa, Tanzania is known for the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, thrilling savannahs, safari opportunities and stunning beaches. Tanzania has also experienced impressive annual growth and improvements in child survival and school enrolment over the past decade.

Unfortunately, many children still live in extreme poverty. Fertility rates remain very high, resulting in families with high numbers of children and without the resources to adequately support them. In the worst situations, children leave their families at a very young age in search of a better life, or experience violence or neglect, and it is these children that ChildHope aims to work with in Tanzania.

Set up a monthly gift and give children a chance of a better future.
